All of us go through definite
amount of stress every day. If this stress
is not dealt with it creates too many problems.
Our mind gets filled up with negative thoughts
and our attitude also changes. We feel weak
physically and mentally. In such a state we
are not in control of our emotions and actions
which further deteriorate our situation and
thus increase our stress.
But hold on! Watch your breath.
Why? Because our breathing pattern at any
given time is true reflection of our mental
and emotional state. It is a proven fact that
mental state changes our breathing pattern.
Interestingly the reverse is also true.
If you breathe normally and deeply for few
minutes in the evening it will let go much
of your stress and will refresh you.
Pranayama is an ancient Yogic
practice which is extremely beneficial in
creating a balanced state of mind. These
practices should be learnt directly from the
teacher (not through the books or videos)
so we are not giving details of these here.
